Outline of Research:
This research project is to focus on the environmental media which serve as key technology in the field of next-generation mobile multimedia, to study their positioning in the field, and their social impact, and to study and build the system in a concrete manner.
The research will be conducted from the following viewpoints:
- Construction of a new relationship between human-being and nature. The environmental media which contribute towards cross-cultural understanding.
- Change to the mobile media which provide a network with information, from mobile computing which gets information from a network.
- Change to the "wearable media" which enable information exchange from a remote place in the unconscious, from the "mobile media" which are hand-carried in the consciousness and perform information exchange from a remote place.
- Thought of AR which unites the real world and the information world, and extends the human world in terms of information.
- Advent of ubiquitous virtual space which the wearable environment media constitute.
